For the “Vickery Meadow Project”
Vickery Meadows is the center of 28,000+ refugees from all nations. Disciples of the Way Ministries have grown to have a good “problem”. We are running out space here at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas. Our missionaries and volunteers are getting used to bringing the Saving Gospel of Jesus right to where our Muslim neighbors live, into their community and into their own homes in order to continue steadfastly in the things that make up the real church’s life: Teaching, Fellowship, Communion, and Worship. (Acts 2:42). "Sowing Seeds of Faith" is a new program lead by trained mission minded Women Of the Way ministry and consists of teaching sewing skills to other ethnic women, making friends with them and their children and raising up leaders from among them to become new missionaries.
We have already outgrown our first “Sewing Seeds of Faith” home project that was planted in March 24, 2013. Yes, we did it with the help of our new friends, our Muslim neighbors from Iraq, Eritrea and Ethiopia. And yes our hope is to continue to plant as many home churches as the Lord of the Harvest desires. But we can’t do this without your faithful prayers and continual support.

The Gospel calls us to reach out to all people around us, ONE STITCH, one soul, one friend, one family, and one community at a time. We have much work to do. We have a mission to carry out. There are things we can do together that we cannot do as individuals.
