Refugee Families in Crisis!

I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. John 10:16

POBLO-TX is

Helping the Hungry!

A year ago we encountered a serious need here at POBLO-TX. The need of hunger - not only for food but to share the Gospel! Here was an awesome opportunity to help our Muslim refugee neighbors by providing them with food and clothing, but also an opportunity to reach out and share the Word of God. Since that time we have been providing food, clothing and furniture to help these families and show them the love of Christ! How do we do this? With the help of our local LCMS Congregations - by holding a food drive for 2-3 Sundays we are able to keep our small pantry shelves with food. It is has been a huge success, but we always need help.

For the past couple of months, our food pantry has seen non-perishable food donations decline. This seems to be a seasonal phenomenon where donations soar from the fall months through the winter, but decline from spring into summer. Hunger takes no vacation, so we need your help. We ask that you open your hearts and your cupboards to donate to this on going POBLO-TX food pantry ministry. Donations can be left in the box located by the door near the rear entrance.

If you prefer, you can also help with a $25 gift card to Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, etc., as these are located in the refugee communities. Please mail to POBLO-TX/Our Redeemer 7611 Park Lane, Dallas, TX 75225. Or drop by our office here at Our Redeemer on Mon, Wed or Fri.
