Welcome!

Disciples of the Way (DOW) formerly POBLO-TX, is a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) mission society dedicated to reaching Muslims both domestically and internationally. It is our goal to raise up spiritual leaders among Muslims and establish Christ-worshiping communities within them.

Dear Partners in the Gospel,

Yes we are changing, but ONLY our name is changing. Disciples of the Way, our new name, is nothing but a continuation of POBLO-TX . Inspired by Acts 9:2, "Disciples of the Way" (DOW) Ministries is more definitive to our mission and describes our ministry of making disciples of the cross of all nations.

Our ministry base is still Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dallas (LCMS), and across from our ripe mission field of over 28,000+ refugees from all nations. Act 17:26-28.

In conjunction with our rapidly growing mission and ministry, we hope you will continue to pray and support us faithfully that we may reach out even more and raise up more indigenous leaders (men and women), and plant many more churches of the way from all nations. As a result of your prayers and support, especially LWML. Our Women of the Way ministries has become one of the fastest growing ministry outreach among Muslim women in Texas, WOW!.

Please read more about the ministries of DOW and WOW and their goals and objectives in our enclosed brochures.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should” (Ephesians 6:18-20).

POBLO-TX

Saving the lost together in Christ,

Pastor Karim

"Sewing Seeds of Faith One Stitch at a Time," is a new program lead by trained mission minded women and consists of teaching sewing skills to other ethnic women, making friends with them and their children and raising up leaders from among them to become new missionaries in order to bring the Gospel to 25,000+ refugees in the immediate vicinity of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (the home base of DOW Ministries in Dallas).
