Welcome to POBLO-TX!
People of the Book Lutheran Outreach (POBLO), is a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) mission society dedicated to reaching Muslims both domestically and internationally. It is our goal to raise up spiritual leaders among Muslims and establish Christ-worshiping communities within them.

POBLO-TX
Emergency Food Drive
- Matthew 5:3-9
After spending much time in the mission field in the past year and working with our ESL program (English as a second language), and adopting refugee families in the community in Dallas, we have become increasingly aware of the felt-needs of these local families, struggling to make a new home and a new life in our blessed country. Many times there are zip code restrictions and transportation issues to get to North Dallas Shared Ministries. We have been greatly blessed to meet more and more Muslim refugees, starving for the Gospel, needing to be fed the Word of God, but also needing food for their young families. Their hearts cry out for the hope that is found in the One True Shepherd, as their stomachs cry out in hunger.
Ezekiel 34:11-12 "'For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness."
"Blessed
are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed
are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek:
for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and
thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the
merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be
called the children of God."

Our
office receives calls on a daily basis from families looking for
assistance as well as other agencies looking to send families to us.
The response has been overwhelming. We are seeking the help of you,
our partners in the Gospel, to help promote an Emergency Food Drive
for our POBLO-TX Food Pantry located at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in
Dallas. I, with the our helpers, can bring our large
delivery truck to help with the promotion and pick up donations.

We encourage your church to sponsor a
food drive to help keep our pantry stocked. We can
provide you with a flyer and bulletin insert to promote the food drive, and transportation of your
donations to our facility.
If you feel your church is too far away to participate, please consider designating a special Sunday offering for support where we can then purchase dry goods and other necessities for these families. We are thinking out side the box in building relationships with these needy lost sheep.
Please contact our office to let us know the month you would like to participate and partner with us in this ministry.
We look forward to your continued support and partnership in the Gospel. Saving the lost sheep of Abraham together,
Pastor Karim
