People of the Book Lutheran Outreach in Texas

Church of All Nations

THE MISSION AND MINISTRY OF POBLO-TX GOES FORTH!

In addition to the Arabic Church Of All Nations at Our Redeemer in Dallas,   POBLO-TX just celebrated the 1 year anniversary  worship service of the Asian (Pakistani/Hindu)  Church Of All Nations congregation in Carrollton at Prince of Peace  Lutheran Church on Palm Sunday, April 5th.

Pray the Lord of the Harvest will raise up workers for future Churches of All Nations in Arlington, Houston and Austin, Texas, which God has prepared  in advance for us to do.

A special Thank You to the Texas District and LCMS Churches for their partnership in the Gospel with POBLO-TX to help plant Churches Of All Nations in Texas!

Welcome to POBLO-TX!

People of the Book Lutheran Outreach (POBLO), is a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) mission society dedicated to reaching Muslims both domestically and internationally. It is our goal to raise up spiritual leaders among Muslims and establish Christ-worshiping communities within them.

HELP POBLO-TX FEED THE HUNGRY!

Across I-75 from our office here at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, refugee families are struggling with hunger. More and more refugee families living in Dallas are being affected by the recession and the continued rise in unemployment. For the past couple of months, our food pantry has seen non-perishable food donations decline. This seems to be a seasonal phenomenon where donations soar from the fall months through the winter, but decline from spring into summer. Hunger takes no vacation, so we need your help. We ask that you open your hearts and your cupboards to donate to this on going POBLO-TX food pantry ministry.

When you sign up to hold a food drive, we will partner with you to help make it a success. In fact we'll do much of the work:

1. First, we will supply you with the bulletin inserts and wall posters announcing the drive.

2. Second, we provide you with a supply of brown Kraft grocery sacks. We've found it to be very effective to distribute these to interested members following/leaving a service. They then take the sacks home and return the next Sunday with whatever they are led to donate. The sack is a reminder during the week about the drive as well as a convenient way to transport the items.

3. Third, we will pick up the collected food items with our staff and truck. When members return with their donations, simply set them aside in the Narthex or in a nearby room and we will move them from your designated drop off point to our truck. No need to sort or inventory the items, our staff will do that.

Once you decide to become part of this effort, we simply need the name and contact information for our 'point of contact' individual (the person we talk to in your church).

How can you help POBLO-TX plant new "Churches of all Nations"
in Texas?

1. Prayers: without your prayers our mission would fail.

2. Support- without your support there would be no mission:
-School Chapel & Sunday School Offerings,

-Adding POBLO-TX to your Yearly Mission Budget

3. Preaching & Teaching: Invite Pastor Karim from POBLO-TX to your church to preach the Word of God and teach about Islam and Christianity.

4. Volunteer: without volunteers there would be no one to reach out.

5. Ways to volunteer: help organize ESL Classes; Organize an Emergency Food Drive; Volunteer for Drivers Ed Program; Organize and help pick up Furniture Donations.

We look forward to your continued support and partnership in the Gospel. Saving the lost sheep of Abraham together,

Pastor Karim
